The popular NY based Derek Lam brought some California Lovin to his Spring 2012 collection featuring a retro throwback feel with modern silhouettes. For the ladies who love their brights and are daring to mix and match with unexpected fabrics like tan leather, the looks in this collection are sure to be amazing inspirations for you!
My three personal favorites are:
1- Brown Leather belted tunic with a Coral knee-length silk skirt. Who knew the toughness of leather would actually pair nicely and balance with a coral shade of fabric? Silk to be exact?!
2- The brightly sunshine yellow belted short sleeve knitted tunic top over the printed light blue(slightly aqua) knee length skirt. Its such a happy outfit with two contrasting brights that are compliment each other.
3- A timeless white gown with a scoop neckline and 3/4 sleeves. It’s simple, elegant and its not boring with the thing gold belt. A white dress can always be spruced up with jewelry or accessories! Enjoy!
